F&ST for Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon: Books are magic (UPDATE)
Dear booklovers, welcome!
We’ve gathered here today to participate in a wonderful global event called Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. If you don’t know what that is, go and take a look right now!
At the moment, you are visiting official web page of NGO F&ST, a society dedicated to promoting fantasy, science fiction and tabletop games in a lovely city of Split, Croatia. We organize events, promote artists who express themselves in said genres, and collect their and works of other artists.
Today, we will host a mini challenge called
BOOKS ARE MAGIC
No matter what genres you read, you will agree with us on the fact that books serve as a portal, catapulting you into the world within them, bringing to you the time and place you are reading about. If that is not magic, we don’t know what is.
For this challenge we ask you to show us what is coming out of your book.
There is more than one way to take on this challenge. You can draw on a blank paper sticking out of your book or from under your reader. Or you can take a picture of your book and arrange it in a digital editor. You can even stage a little scene with items you have around you. Be creative and have fun.
When you are done, link the images of your finished work of art in the comments. Please, make sure your image can be viewed by public.
Winner of this challenge will be picked at random and will receive an e-book written by a wonderful young Croatian author Maya Starling as a reward. Don’t worry, her books are in English.
We wish you the best of luck and a lot of fun during this event! ㋡
UPDATE:
Thank you all for your contributions. We loved your entries! So we wouldn’t be biased, we used Random Number Generator.
The winner has been chosen, CONGRADS, Alix May!! You will be contacted about your prize.
We hope to see you all next year!
